• Size: 106cm wide x 87cm tall
• Date: Crown Copyright 1975. There is however a red “1977” next to this. Major roads revised 1974. Boundaries as notified 1-4-1977.
• Ink colours used: grey and red on white paper
• Scale: 1:625,000 or approx. 10 miles per inch
• Weight: 88g
• Condition: Used with some minor creases (mostly on edges), very slight evidence on the back that it has been stuck on the wall with Blutac. One or two minor brown marks which indicates that paper is aging, but on the whole in pretty good shape. See images for condition.
• Comments: This map covers Scotland and parts of northern England as well as separate insets for the Hebrides, the Shetland Islands, and the Orkney Islands. An outline of part of the coast of northern Island is present, but not much else. The map would have been of primary use by local councils and other administrative civil servants. Might be useful as a film prop for dramas involving police, civil servants, local and regional governments in Scotland for the late 1970’s era. Or for map collectors in general.
