Press stamp and caption on the reverse which reads; SHAPINA BY A NECK. Shapina (second left) with Geoff Baxter in the saddle just gets up to win the Ilsley Stakes by a neck from Lovely Libra (left), the mount of Lester Piggott, at Newbury this afternoon. Santa Caterina (right) with Greville Starkey up finished third and Gym Slip (second right) ridden by Pat Eddery fourth. Dated June 8th 1977.
The photograph is in good condition except for a couple of minor brown marks which are below the horses.
