Multi-Shape Cutter Pro Jig for Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter

The precision laser cut jig is built from Medite Premium grade 6mm and 4mm MDF. We use MDF because of its smooth surface, consistent thickness and overall stability . The jig locates into the Proxxon guideway. It has a wide slot for the templates to slide in for cutting. 

There are two sizes of templates for large and small shapes, each size has 6 shapes for 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 sided figures. Each former has two nails to locate the foam. 

It is a simple process to slide the foam through the cutter, lift and rotate the foam one side and cut again until the full shape is complete. Cone shapes can be made by adjusting the angle of the hot wire. 

The jig can be supplied fully assembled and finished or in kit form for self assembly. With the fully assembled version the parts have been sanded, sealed, and the top faces have been lacquered. 

The kit contains all the components as they come off the laser cutter. The parts will have a darker edge to them as a result of the laser cutting. This is not detrimental to the operation, if you don't mind the effect then it can be assembled without any further action. 

To accompany this jig there is the option to purchase an angle setting guide for the hot wire slider. This is at a reduced price if purchased with the jig. 

The jigs are made to order and will therefore require 3 or 4 days to complete
