Garnets from this area of the world have exceptional clarity and color. I really, really, really hate muddy prune-juice-colored garbage that's passed off as nice garnets. Yuck! I just won't do it. Instead, when the Mozambique mines started producing, I focused on their material, and love every one of them. Yes, they cost a tad more, but golly, are they worth it. This bracelet is encircles your wrist with best color Mozambique Garnets. These are checkerboard cut, which throws the most awesome sparkle and fire. We select mid-range color -- not too dark, and certainly not too light. The idea is to let that light in, bounce around and jump right back at you. I just totally love the effect of this bracelet. These stones are set into sturdy 4 prong baskets, linked together by balled pins, so there's no solder anywhere with the exception of the clasp -- a good strong design. We cast our own mountings and will never use flimsy "snap tight" stuff... This allows the most show of stone for the least expense in gold, still maintaining sturdy construction. |
