Original French 15 inch x 21 inch Poster for the 1983 Jean-Jacques Beineix Drama THE MOON IN THE GUTTER (LA LUNE DANS LE CANIVEAU), based on the novel by David Goodis and starring Gerard Depardieu, Nastassia Kinski, Dominique Pinon, Victoria Abril, Bertice Reading, Milena Vukotic and Vittorio Mezzogiorno.
A riverfront stevedore is tormented by the rape and subsequent suicide of his sister who was found lying in a gutter. Now he wanders his gritty harbor town with vengeance in his heart. This dark, surrealistic French drama follows him on his desperate, obsessed search. Along the way he has a few sexual encounters, and gets in fights with fellow longshoremen.
