Rare demo cassette tape - Sulia, Catapult and Tumble /Welcome Home Haywire
Formed: June 1990, as the Gravity Beavers, after Stuart, a Northwestern graduate and Long Island native, persuaded Alcantara to return to the area from Pittsburgh. Kantoff joined in August.
The band changed its name to Monster in April 1991
Recordings: This rare three-song demo was produced at Chicago Recording Company. The song ``Sulia`` is on the Midwestern-band CD compilation ``Uncharted.
Peter Stuart is better known for his later group Dog's Eye View, and solo album Propeller, on Vanguard Records.
