Original Italian 10 5/8 inch x 8 3/8 inch Still of ALBA ARNOVA as the statue that comes to life in the 1951 Vittorio De Sica Italian Neo-Realist Fantasy MIRACLE IN MILAN (MIRACOLO A MILANO), based on the novel “Toto Il Buono” by Cesare Zavattini also starring Emma Gramatica, Francesco Golisano, Paolo Stoppa, Riccardo Bertazzolo, Brunella Bovo, A. Bragaglia, Anna Carena, Virgilio Riento and G. Barnabo.
De Sica’s warmhearted fairytale about young orphan Toto (Golisano) who arrives in a poor community outside Milan where he cheers up the inhabitants helped by his old woman guardian who comes down fron heaven. When a miracle happens and oil is found, the poor turn into capitalists.
The still is in good to very good condition with slight corner wear.
