We never actually learn the name of the vampire in this flick but it's a great movie! Young women are ending up in the morgue drained of blood. One woman managed to escape when the vampire attacked her and gives the police a good description. The police commence stake-outs to catch the killer. Detective Carrie Blass poses as bait. When she gets nipped in a struggle with the vampire . . . she finds herself changing and comes to understand what they are really dealing with. This movie keeps you guessing as to the outcome right down to the end. The characters are believable. It's one of those rare finds, a vampire movie set in modern times that does NOT claim any characters or story line from Dracula. A must see for any true fan of the genre.
