Ms. Frizzle takes her class on their greatest field trip yet, exploring inside the human body. After the class finishes having lunch at the picnic table, the Friz and the class go into Arnold's body. As soon as their inside, it's the player's job to find a way out.
The Magic School Bus Explores the Human Body is the second installment in The Magic School Bus series of PC games.
The Magic School Bus video game series (both original titles and activity centers) are targeted for children ages 5-10.

The Magic School Bus Explores the Human Body
This game is based on the book The Magic School Bus Inside the Human Body and the episode "The Magic School Bus for Lunch". Arnold has become the class' next field trip. The user can drive the bus to 12 different organs. In some locations, the player can leave the bus. Each place has an arcade game and a science experiment and a lot to explore. This is the first game that allows the user to sign in and go to the back of the bus. This is also one of the few games in which Liz can talk. This is the only game to not have a "missing collectible" minigame (where the player must find a specific and fixed number of missing collectibles). Both Quandary and All Game Guide gave the game 70/100. Superkids gave it 3.5/5 stars.
The Milwaukee Sentinel was bemused that the program got a kindergartner playtester interested in the small intestines. Bangor Daily News deemed it a "splendid mix of experiments, explanations, and games". The Daily Gazette deemed it "delightful".
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- A Multimedia PC or compatible with a 486/25 or higher microprocessor.
- 4 MB of RAM (8 MB recommended for better performance).
- 6 MB of free hard disk space.
- Double-speed CD-ROM: The CD-ROM drive can transfer data from the CD-ROM at 300 KB per second while using less than 40% of the CPU bandwidth and has an average seek time of less than 400 milliseconds.
- MS-DOS CD-ROM Extensions (MSCDEX) version 2.2 or later. Check the documentation that came with your CD-ROM drive.
- Super VGA display capable of displaying 256 colors at 640 x 480 resolution. "Scholastic's The Magic School Bus Explores The Ocean" requires a display driver and monitor capable of displaying 256 colors with a color palette in Windows. Using more than 256 colors may affect performance. A local bus video card is recommended.
- MS-DOS operating system version 5.0 or later.
- Microsoft Windows version 3.1 or later.
- Windows compatible sound card, such as:
- Ability to play CD audio through sound card.
- Speakers or headphones.
- Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device.
