Original Argentine 29 inch x 43 inch Poster for the 1946 Thorold Dickinson Drama MEN OF TWO WORLDS, based on a story by Joyce Cary and starring Eric Portman, Phyllis Calvert, Robert Adams, Orlando Martins and Cathleen Nesbitt.
Men of Two Worlds was only released in 1946, but had its inception as a wartime propaganda project. It aimed to depict the British colonial presence in Africa in a favourable light, to support the official British policy of modernisation, and to justify expenditure far from the theatre of war.
The poster is in very good folded condition. There is a small piece out of the top border. There is a 3 inch tear at the right edge. There are other minor faults.
