Seller's Description
Original 1930s Universal 10 inch x 8 inch Black and White Portrait of MARGARET LINDSAY.
Margaret Lindsay (1910 – 1981) was an American film actress. Her time as a Warner Bros. contract player during the 1930s was particularly productive. She was noted for her supporting work in successful films of the 1930s and 1940s such as Baby Face, Jezebel (1938) and Scarlet Street (1945) and her leading roles in lower-budgeted B movie films such as the Ellery Queen series at Columbia in the early 1940s.
Portrait by Ray Jones. Jones began taking stills at Universal in 1922 and stayed there till 1933 when he moved to Fox to head their stills department and in 1934 took over the portrait gallery from Otto Dyar. After freelancing for a year he went back to Universal to head their portrait gallery.
The portrait is in very good condition with a description taped to the reverse.
