Description: This is a Large 12" inch x 8" inch photo of a Maidstone & District bus parked up in the old Maidstone bus station in Mill Street in 1969. The bus is 1963 Daimler,Registration 57YKT, Fleet number 6057, Route 9, Destination 'Maidsone, Borough Green, West & East Malling, Larkfield'.
The Mill Street bus station was opened in 1926 and was the first bus station on the country, finally closing in 1976.
