Original German 23 inch x 33 inch Poster for the 1949 Charles Bennett Romance MADNESS OF THE HEART, based on the novel by Flora Sandstrom and starring Margaret Lockwood, Maxwell Reed, Kathleen Byron, Thora Hird, Paul Dupuis, Raymond Lovell, Maurice Denham, David Hutcheson, Cathleen Nesbitt, Peter Illing, Kynaston Reeves, Marie Ault, Marie Burke and Marcel Poncin.

After being struck blind, a young woman marries her French lover and moves to his ancestral house. But his father and a jealous neighbour conspire to destroy the marriage...

Poster art by Bruno Jaddatz (1914 -2002). Jaddatz was born in Brandenburg an der Havel. He worked as a graphic artist, painter, inventor, poet, composer, singer and astrologer. He designed film posters for UFA and Rank films.

The poster is in very good folded condition.
