It turns into a really butt ugly color, but when you heat it up a tad, the ugly goes away and you're left with the color of the ocean. Just the most awesome blue you ever saw. I'm just totally in love with them. This is a simple ring, more about the stone than the ring. At SylvaRocks, all of our Sterling Silver is made with a state of the art alloy which modifies the traditional Sterling Silver alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) by replacing some of the copper with the metalloid Germanium. Adding Germanium to the Sterling Silver results in a highly tarnish resistant silver. Since the resulting metal is still 92.5% pure silver, is still qualifies as Sterling Silver -- just better.
