It allows the light to get in more then ever before and bounce around resulting in tons of sparkle. Color so deep you could go swimming in it! London Blue Topaz -- what you get when you expose an ordinary clear topaz to an electron stream at a nuclear facility. It turns into a really butt ugly color, but when you heat it up a tad, the ugly goes away and you're left with the color of the ocean off the Pacific Coast. Just the most awesome blue you ever saw, with just a hint of green to it. I'm just totally in love with them. The stone measures 12x10 mm, and weighs 6 carats. The ring itself is a heavy, with a good feel to it and is made of .925 Sterling Silver. The sides have a good wide filigree pattern, and enhances the Mercury Mist nicely, while at the same time allowing the stone to stand on it's own merits. ____________________________________________________________________ BTW, Since we make this from scratch after you order it, we have a lot of flexibility.
