Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1983 Alain Resnais Comedy LIFE IS A BED OF ROSES (LA VIE EST UN ROMAN), written by Jean Gruault and starring Vittorio Gassman, Ruggero Raimondi, Geraldine Chaplin and Fanny Ardant.
A literal translation of the original title is "Life is a novel (or story, romance)"; in the film the French quotation (or misquotation) is attributed to Napoleon.
The poster art is by Enki Bilal. Born in 1951 Bilal is a French comic book creator, comics artist and film director.
