Seller's Description
PFAS111 Antique 5.5" x 3.5" hand signed photo for jazz and music halls singer Kitty Masters who has personally autographed the souvenir where her signature rests perfectly accompanying her portrait in mint condition and undedicated too.
"Kitty Masters was born in Salford, Lancashire, March 15, 1902 and died September 25, 1994. Her birth name was Katharine Masterson. She first sang in public at the age of four, when she was taken by her father to a Labour Party meeting and joined in with the singing of The Red Flag. The comrades liked her voice so much that she was lifted up on to a table and was asked to sing it again. By the age of six, she was appearing on the Manchester concert halls, where she was billed as "Wee Kitty Masters." Later, she became the featured singer with the B.B.C. Dance Orchestra. She sold more than one and a half million records, the best-remembered of which was "Little Man, You've Had a Busy Day", which she recorded with Henry Hall's Orchestra...."
