Original 10 inch x 8 inch Still of VIOLET LORAINE and director JOHN STUMAR on the set of the 1937 John Stumar Documentary THE KING’S PEOPLE.
Newsreel material is used to show the events during the period from Queen Victoria's Jubilee to the accession of George VI. It is interrupted at intervals by John Drinkwater and some of his friends who reminisce about the British Empire. Violet Loraine sings some of the old songs; Bernard Shaw and Mary Clare enact one of Shaw's monologues.
