John Bagshaw & Sons Vintage Silver Plated Cocktail Shaker Jug

Superb vintage jug which I presume would have had a cork stopper at one time as it has a cork bung in the spout. I think this might have been designed for cocktails rather than hot water, as the handle would conduct heat, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Marked on the base with the retailer's stamp 'John Bagshaw & Sons Liverpool. Made in England. L2044 1pt' There is also a hallmark but it isn't readable. In good condition, needs a bit more cleaning as it still has some tarnish spotting, but a very stylish item.
