Seller's Description

CHAU1851  An original 7" x 5" hand signed photo for Joe Beasley failed television comedian with his puppet Cheeky Monkey from Alan Partridge (please see below) personally autographed by the ventriloquist in truly outstanding condition.

"..In 1979 Alan Partridge scouted Beasley at a cabaret performance whilst on holiday in Bouremouth and promised to give him a "big break" if he ever got his own TV series. Thus, in 1994, he appeared on Knowing Me, Knowing You, where he attempted an unsuccessful stand-up act with a puppet called "Cheeky Monkey". He repeatedly forgot and mis-delivered his jokes, and was sent off stage. After his apperance on Knowing Me, Knowing You, nobody booked him so he became an alcoholic and had so much debt that he had to sell his house. Joe then decided to become a drugs counsellor to help people with their addictions and tour prisons to help young offenders...."
