Original 1960s Re-Release French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1952 Richard Thorpe Romantic Drama IVANHOE, based on the novel by Sir Walter Scott and starring Robert Taylor as Ivanhoe, Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Fontaine, George Sanders, Emlyn Williams, Norman Wooland as King Richard, Finlay Currie, Felix Aylmer, Harold Warrender as Robin Hood, Robert Douglas, Basil Sydney, and Guy Rolfe as Prince John.

A knight seeks to free the captive King Richard and return him to the throne.

Poster art by Roger Soubie (1898 - 1984). Born in Cambrai, Northern France, Soubie was a French designer of nearly 2,000 movie posters. He began by designing advertising posters for rail transport companies, car manufacturers and tourism. He also designed magazine covers.

The poster is in very good folded condition.
