Isle Of Wight Freshwater Studio Pottery Jug

Lovely little jug hand painted in green, blue and mauve strips. It is marked on the base 'Charmouth Pottery' but Charmouth pottery have been in touch with me to say it isn't one of theirs. It comes from the Freshwater pottery on the Isle of Wight, who were a bit naughty, and pinched the Charmouth name in order to sell more items on the mainland ! It's in good condition, apart from one little firing fault, please see photo. It has a little crazing consistant with age.
