Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1962 Gerald Thomas Comedy THE IRON MAIDEN starring Michael Craig, Cecil Parker, Ann Helm, Noel Purcell, Roland Culver, Joan Sims, John Standing, Sam Kydd, Judith Furse, Jim Dale, George Woodbridge, Cyril Chamberlain and Anton Rodgers.
The traction engine that featured as The Iron Maiden was a John Fowler & Co. 7nhp showman's road locomotive (works no. 15657, reg no. FX 6661). She was built in September 1920 as a class R3 road locomotive for heavy haulage work. From new she was named Kitchener – until the film was made, whereupon she was renamed The Iron Maiden.
The poster is in very good folded condition with corner pinholes and edge pinholes.
