Original British 20 inch x 30 inch Double Crown Poster for the 1992 Régis Wargnier Romantic Drama INDOCHINE starring Catherine Deneuve, Vincent Perez, Linh Dan Phan, Jean Yanne, Dominique Blanc and Henri Marteau.
Eliane Devries is the seemingly repressed owner of a prosperous rubber plantation in French Indochina, circa 1930. Her steely exterior, however, is only a mask intended to hide her torrid love affairs from upper class society.
Poster photography by Jean-Marie Leroy. He studied at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français. He worked as a photo editor for Starfix magazine from 1985-87. He then turned to reporting and the press, joining the SYGMA agency, with which he worked for 12 years, until 2000. His photos have appeared in magazines like Paris Match, Elle, Studio Magazine, VSD, Télérama and many more. From 1988 he has been a stills photographer for some of the great film directors such as Almodovar, Kusturica, Antonioni, Wenders, Warnier, Tavernier, Leconte, Deville, Kurys, Audiard.
The poster is in very good unfolded (rolled) condition.
