Original French 12 1/4 inch x 8 3/4 inch 8 Page Illustrated Pressbook for the 1927 Baldassarre Negroni Italian Drama IL VETTURALE DEL MONCENISIO (THE COURIER OF MONCENISIO)(POSTILLON DU MONT-CENIS), based on the 1852 play “Jean le cocher” by Jean Bouchardy and starring Bartolomeo Pagano (Maciste), Rina De Liguoro, Umberto Casilini, Alex Bernard, Cellio Bucchi, Giuseppe Brignone, Mimi Dovia, Manlio Mannozzi, Oreste Grandi and Carlo Valenzi as Napoleon.

During the French Italian campaign, an officer must cross the Alps to carry a message from General Bonaparte. Gian-Claudio Thibaut (Pagano), a courier of Mont Cenis, who lives in the Alps with his wife Genoveffa (Liguoro) and little Giovanna (Dovia), comes to his aid. But an informer denounces him and the French officer is arrested. It is the traitor himself, who pretends to be a friend, to bring Genoveffa the news that her husband Gian-Claudio is dead. Believing herself to be a widow, the woman goes to live with her grandfather in Milan, then, yielding to the increasingly intense attention of the traitor, she agrees to marry him. The courier, who freed himself and performed acts of valour in the war, finally finds his woman and, after having done justice, reestablishes his family in the serene Alpine village.

The pressbook is in very good condition with minor wear along the spine.
