[8], 54, [2] pages. 18 x 12.5 cm. Publisher's cover. Minor tear in the block at the central part near the spine, pages are clean. Jehuda ben Shmuel Halevi (1075-1141) was a medieval Jewish poet and philosopher. He was a passionate nationalist. After working as a physician in Cordoba for a long time, Halevi embarked on a journey to Palestine, stopping in Alexandria along the way. He later conveyed his impressions of the sea voyage in his "Marine Songs." According to one version, he was killed in Jerusalem during his second trip to Palestine.
