Original Danish 24 1/4 inch x 33 1/4 Poster for the 1945 Herbert Wilcox Romance I LIVE IN GROSVENOR SQUARE starring Anna Neagle, Rex Harrison, Dean Jagger, Robert Morley, Nancy Price, Dame Irene Vanbrugh, and Jane Darwell.
An English Duke's daughter, engaged to marry an English army Major, falls in love with a US Air Force sergeant billeted at her father's London residence during the war. Both men are involved in sacrifices of different kinds.
Poster art by Aage Martin Lundvald (1908 - 1983). A Danish illustrator, cartoonist, and composer. With a production of more than 1000 posters, he was one of the most productive Danish artists in his field. Lundvald made his first movie poster in 1937 for the film ‘Life on the Hegn Farm’, and created hundreds of movie posters and programs for both Danish and foreign films.
The poster is in very good folded condition with a censor stamp in the background at upper left and some tattering around the edges.
