Seller's Description

About this Husky Ford F350 Truck

  • Purchased in the late 1960’s or very early 1970’s
  • Size: 70mm long x 26mm wide x 24mm high or 2.8 x 1.0 x 0.9 inches
  • Weight: 17 g or 0.6 ounce
  • Wheels work but friction means it won’t travel a great distance if pushed
  • Suspension working – if you push down on the roof the wheels feel springy
  • Backend crane missing but support for crane still there and moves
  • Seems to have Araldite on crane support structure
  • Orange paint added to doors and roof
  • Quite a few scratches on front bumper and front side trim.
  • Possible dents on the backside body work
  • Writing on underside of vehicle: HUSKY, PAT PENDING MADE IN GT BRITAIN, FORD F350 TRUCK
  • Looks like an attempt was made to mend it as you can see by the remains of the Araldite, but that seems to have been a short term measure as nothing remains of the crane part. Interestingly there actually is a real life Ford 350 Truck in existence and being sold in the in the USA.
  • This model truck has had a few knocks, but still has some life in it yet for activities. Alternatively you could take it to pieces and use it for spare parts.
  • The Husky range were rivals to the Matchbox car series – they eventually became Corgi Juniors and then Rockets. The factory producing these cars was in Swansea, South Wales, UK. The pickup truck obviously used to have a crane on the back and a hock on this to pick up cars, but these have been lost over time
  • One of the images on show on this posting is in 3D – you need to use stereo anaglyph glasses to see it – put a red filter over the left eye and a blue/green filter over the right eye. Best viewed in a dark environment without any reflections on the screen.
  • The buyer, if they live outside the UK is responsible for any customs duty or import taxes
  • For returns the buyer is responsible for cost or repackaging and postage

Enjoy!
