Seller's Description

Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1992 James Ivory Drama HOWARD'S END, based on the novel by E.M. Forster and starring Anthony Hopkins, Vanessa Redgrave, Helena Bonham Carter, Emma Thompson, James Wilby, Samuel West, Jemma Redgrave and Prunella Scales.

The pinnacle of the decades-long collaboration between producer Ismail Merchant and director James Ivory, Howards End is a film of breathtaking beauty and imagination about class divisions in Edwardian England.

Poster art by Bruce Thurman. Thurman was born in Chicago in 1948. He studied Architecture at the University of Illinois and at L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He worked as an architect in Chicago, southern France and New York until 1981, when he moved to Paris to devote himself full time to painting.
