Mikael Agricola Church (Finnish: Mikael Agricolan kirkko, Swedish: Mikael Agricola kyrka) is a Lutheran church located in the Punavuori district of Helsinki, Finland. It was designed by Lars Sonck and built between 1933 and 1935. The church was inaugurated on 14 April 1935. It is named after bishop Mikael Agricola.[1]

The church is made of red bricks. The tower of the church is 97 meters high, the top reaching up to 103 meters above sea level. The 30-meter spike of the tower can be retracted if necessary as it fits inside the tower structure. This was done in the Winter War and the Continuation War so that the tower wouldn't act as a navigational aid to enemy bombers

The church hall seats 850 people. The crypt can also be used for events for 200 people.[1]

Mikael Agricolan kirkko on Helsingin Punavuoressa sijaitseva kirkko. Se rakennettiin vuosina 1933–1935. Rakennus on tyyliltään lähinnä funktionalismia. Kirkon on suunnitellut arkkitehti Lars Sonck (1870–1956).[1] Sonckia avusti arkkitehti Arvo Muroma.[2] Kirkko vihittiin 14. huhtikuuta 1935.[1]

Kirkko on muurattu punatiilestä. Torni on sisäänkäyntipäässä Tehtaankadun puolella. Kirkon yhteydessä on kolmikerroksinen siipirakennus tontilla olevan pienen sisäpihan ympärillä.[2]

Mikael Agricolan kirkon torni, jonka seinät kaartuvat alaosastaan hiukan ulospäin, kohoaa 97 metrin korkeuteen,[3] 103 metriin merenpinnasta. Tornin 30-metrisen piikin voi tarpeen vaatiessa laskea alas, sillä se mahtuu tornin sisälle. Näin tehtiin talvi- ja jatkosodassa, ettei kirkko olisi toiminut selvänä maamerkkinä vihollispommittajille.[1]

Kirkkosali on kolmilaivainen, sivulaivat ovat hyvin kapeat. Kirkon kuoriosa on muuta kirkkosalia ylempänä, kuorin ja kirkkosali välissä on kaari. Muun muassa kaaren ja sivulaivojen pylväiden koristelu on klassistista.[2]

Kirkon nykyiset urut ovat 40-äänikertaiset, ne on rakentanut Veikko Virtasen urkurakentamo. Urut on hankittu vuonna 1968 tehdyn korjauksen yhteydessä. Kirkko on peruskorjattu myös vuosina 2003–2004.[1]

Alttariveistoksen on tehnyt Bruno Tuukkanen, samoin kuin sivulaivojen holvikaarimaalaukset. Arvo Muroma on suunnitellut kirkon messinkiset kolmikerroksiset kattokruunut. Kirkossa on muun muassa Dora Jungin, Greta Skogster-Lehtisen ja Päikki Prihan suunnittelemia kirkkotekstiilejä. Gunilla Jung on suunnitellut ehtoollisvälinesarjan. Kirkossa on myös votiivilaiva.[1]

Kirkko tunnetaan Tuomasmessun kotipaikkana. Kirkon entisen seurakuntasalin tiloissa on lounaskahvila Cafe Agricola.[1] Myös Suomen Anglikaaninen kirkko toimii Mikael Agricolan kirkon tiloissa.[4]
