Halifax Driver Training Bus at Elmwood Garage 1973, Ex Todmorden, Large Photo
Description: This is a Large 12"" inch x 8"" inch photo of a weekday scene at the old Elmwood bus garage at Skircoat Road in Halifax in the 1970s. A Driver Training Vehicle, registration KWX18 which is a rear open door 1951 Leyland PD2/12 bus is leaving the side of the garage. A classic VW Beetle saloon is parked on the opposite side of the road. The bus is ex-Todmorden Omnibus from 1951, then became Halifax, in service in 1971, then the Driver Trainer in 1973, just before Halifax became Metro Calderdale in 1974.
