Halifax George Street 1969, Todmorden Bus to Hebden Bridge, Large Photo
Description: This is a Large 12" inch x 8" inch photo of a late afternoon scene at the bus stop at the top of George Street in Halifax in 1967. A 1949 Todmorden Joint Omnibus liveried Leyland Titan PD2/1, registration JWY824, destination 'Hebden Bridge' is taking on passengers outside the Griffin Pub. This bus operated for Todmorden Omnibus from 1950 to 1971.
Please be aware that the original photographer caught the bright reflection of the winter setting sun reflected on the bus front, and that obscures the detail in the front of the bus, but it does capture the realism of that moment in time when those people were queueing for the bus.
