Original circa 1790 10 3/4 inch x 7 5/8 inch Tinted Stipple Engraving titled H.R.H. GEORGE, PRINCE OF WALES (GEO.IV)

Portrait of George IV when Prince full length, staning slightly to left; in Van Dyck costume, wearing Garter robes, leaning on sword, with hat in hand; church building in background.

Engraved by Louis Sailliar (1748 - c. 1795). Engraver, often in stipple. Worked in Paris and London. In 1781 he opened a shop in the Palais Royal selling imported English prints.

After Richard Cosway (1742 - 1821). Miniature painter. in 1785 he became Principal Painter to H.R.H. the Prince of Wales.

Lettered below title: 'Henry Angelo’s Patron.'
