All postcards are not totally new and are pre-owned. It's inevitable that older cards may show signs of ageing and use, particularly sent through the post. Any faults other than normal ageing are noted.

Arthur Joseph Guéniot est un sculpteur et statuaire français né à Bournezeau en Vendée le 1^er mai 1866 et mort à Vitry-le-François le 16 février 1951^[1],[2].

Il a été élève de Gustave Moreau et de Delorme et est connu surtout pour ses nombreuses statues religieuses.

Élève à l'école des beaux-arts de Clermont-Ferrand puis élève lauréat de l'école supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris en section de peinture^[2].

Depuis 2008 une place de Bournezeau porte son nom^[3] et depuis 2009 une rue de Dinan porte son nom^[4].

Officier d'Académie en 1911, chevalier de l'Ordre du Cambodge, il est fait chevalier de la Légion d'honneur par décret du 3 février 1929^[2].

Membre de la société des artistes français il a obtenu une médaille honorable en 1902, une médaille de bronze en 1920, une médaille d'argent en 1925 et une médaille d'or, hors concours, en 1927^[2].
