Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1983 Michael Apted Thriller GORKY PARK, based on the novel by Martin Cruz Smith, with a screenplay by Dennis Potter and starring William Hurt, Lee Marvin, Brian Dennehy, Ian Bannen, Michael Elphick, Joanna Pacula and Richard Griffiths.
A Moscow police officer investigates a vicious triple homicide and stumbles upon a high-level international political conspiracy.
Poster design by Bill Gold (1921 - 2018). An American graphic designer best known for thousands of film poster designs. Gold worked with many leading directors, including Vincente Minnelli, John Ford and John Huston. But his longest collaboration was with Clint Eastwood. Gold's fruitful relationship with Eastwood began with Dirty Harry (1971), and he gave the actor a gun or a gritty countenance on posters for such films The Enforcer (1976), The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), Pale Rider (1985) and Unforgiven (1992).
The poster is in very good folded condition with a tiny hole centre right.
