Seller's Description

Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1967 Robert Stevenson Walt Disney Fantasy THE GNOME-MOBILE, based on the book by Upton Sinclair and starring Walter Brennan, Matthew Garber, Ed Wynn, Richard Deacon and Karen Dotrice.

An eccentric millionaire and his grandchildren are embroiled in the plights of some forest gnomes who are searching for the rest of their tribe. While helping them, the millionaire is suspected of being crazy because he's seeing gnomes. He's committed, and his grandchildren and the gnomes must find and free him.

The poster artwork is by A. “Jock” W. Hinchliffe.
Hinchliffe was born in Perth, Scotland. In 1953 he had a studio in Chalk Farm, North London, where he produced a series of six oil paintings as publicity for 20th Century Fox’s “The Robe”. He had been engaged by Fox in 1926 and produced posters and ads continuously for them, and for Disney, well into the 1960s.
