Seller's Description

6 Original British 10 inch x 8 inch Front-of-House Stills (Lobby Cards) for the 1949 Henry Cass Drama THE GLASS MOUNTAIN starring Michael Denison, Dulcie Gray, Valentina Cortese, Sebastian Shaw and Italian baritone Tito Gobbi.

Shot down over Italy and rescued by the resistance, RAF pilot and composer Richard Wilder (Michael Denison) forms a deep bond with the beautiful Alida (Valentina Cortese), who tells him about the legend of the Glass Mountain. After returning home to England, Richard uses the details from the tale to create an opera with the support of his loving wife, Anne (Dulcie Gray). Unable to forget Alida, however, Richard remains conflicted until the night of the opera's premiere, when fate intervenes.
The memorable theme music by Nino Rota was a contemporary hit. The film was mainly shot on location in the Dolomites and at Venice's La Fenice Opera House.

The stills are in very good condition with corner pinholes
