Original 10 inch x 8 inch Black and White Portrait of MARGARET LOCKWOOD in the 1944 Val Guest Comedy GIVE US THE MOON, based on the 1939 novel ‘The Elephant is White’ written by Caryl Brahms and her Russian émigré writing partner S. J. Simon.
Lockwood takes arest from being a wicked lady in a comedy about a group of Russians forming a London Soho club which makes idleness a qualification for membership..
The portrait is in very good condition with a half inch nick in the right edge, a faint stain just to the top right of Lockwood’s head and one or two minor surface marks.
