Original British 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1958 Gilbert Gunn Comedy GIRLS AT SEA, based on the play by Ian Hay and starring Guy Rolfe, Ronald Shiner, Nadine Tallier, Michael Hordern, Anne Kimbell, Fabia Drake, Teddy Johnson, Mary Steele and Richard Coleman.
When H.M.S. Scotia pays a visit to the French Riviera, the officers, to celebrate the engagement of Marine Captain Robert "Bobby" Randall Richard Coleman) to a charming American girl, Jill Eaton (Mary Steele), they throw a big party.
Advert art by Enrico De Seta (1908 - 2008). Born in Catania, Sicily, De Seta was a draughtsman and painter. Initially known as a cartoonist and satirical author, in the second part of his career he established himself as a cinematographic illustrator, producing around 1,500 posters
