Seller's Description
CHAU3350 A vintage 1965 8" x 6" fold open souvenir from Germany reading all about Queen Elizabeth inside in German language and page 3 is the Coat Of Arms large full page artwork - the front of the souvenir is a real plastic EIIR necklace on string and the Royal Crown in vibrant red and relief finish - The publishers have affixed this onto the card so I would not advise to remove it (even though you surely could) - This has some right edge border handling place but otherwise great condition (vg/vg+ grading) - The signature of Queen Elizabeth on the front has a hand appearance - It is a really upmarket souvenir and was sent to the below wartime Doctor so perhaps was just for exclusive people of the era.
This came from the private collection from the estate of Doctor Elston Grey-Turner CBE MC TD (16 August 1916 20 January 1984) who was a British medical doctor who served in World War II and was on the staff of the British Medical Association for many years. He joined the Royal Army Medical Corps and served as regimental medical officer to the 2nd Battalion of the Coldstream Guards 19421945. He was awarded the Territorial Decoration, and also the Military Cross.
