Seller's Description

George III Antique Sterling Silver Fish Slice (124.3g).

Fully hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver/925 fineness, leopard head for London, date letter (G) circa 1802 and George III duty mark with maker’s mark AK for Abstinando King to the blade and George III Duty mark, lion passant for sterling silver and date letter (G) circa 1802 and with the maker’s mark IT which is undetermined but as a educated guess possibly Joseph Taconet (small worker) to the handle.

Measures approximately 30 cm x 6.8 cm (widest width) and weighs 124.3 grams.

Monogram to the blade dependant on which way you look is either an M or W respectively.

A gorgeous Georgian sterling silver fish slice which is over 200 years old and still in lovely shape with consideration to a slightly flat tip to the blade and would have at one point had the opposing vice grip which is sadly not attached anymore none of which detracts from the function of use or the beauty of such a lovely piece of Georgian silver flatware. Fantastic for collectors and enthusiasts alike and would make for a fantastic gift or why not spoil yourself and impress the guests with this gorgeous antique Georgian sterling silver fish slice a lovely piece which is a great addition to any service and a great talking point with it’s age.

Photos do form the best part of the description and are for your study as to the design and condition may come with signs of wear and tarnish, all commensurate of age but does not detract from the beauty. All questions are welcome and we aim to post within 24hrs of payment received though weekends and bank holidays this can take up to 72hrs all with tracked signed for postage.
