STEERING LOCK DAMAGED ??
If your Piaggio NRG original model [ up to 2005] has had theft damage to the steering / ignition lock area then this may be the solution to your problem
If you are reading this you will already have discovered that Piaggio Group don't fit ignition lock
units - instead they have a number of individual components mounted into a tube attached to the side of the frame headstock.
See last 2 pictures for what your complete lock unit assembly should look like [ BUT advert is for the metal tube only]
What often happens when a thief applies force to break the steering lock is that this tube gets bent or damaged.
Best Solution = remove the damaged tube and fit a new one. Please be aware that this will need to be welded in place.
Cheaper here than getting one from the Piaggio dealer !!

NOTE that Piaggio do have a similar but larger diameter tube used on other models eg Gilera Runner / Vespa ET2 ET4 / NRG Power / Piaggio Zip - a piaggio dealer should be able to supply [ i don't have any left, sorry]
