Original 1959 French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1957 Wolfgang Liebeneiner German Romantic Drama FRANZISKA (AU REVOIR FRANZISKA) starring Ruth Leuwerik, Carlos Thompson, Josef Meinrad, Friedrich Domin, Jochen Brockmann, Nadja Regin, Gisela Trowe, Siegfried Schürenberg, Peter Elsholtz and Else Ehser.

Poster art by Jean Mascii. Mascii was one of the most prolific French film poster artists of the second half of the 20th century creating over 2,000. He was born in Italy in 1926 his family then settled in France in 1932. He began work designing cinema facades and designed his first film poster for La Dame D'Onze Heures starring Paul Meurisse in 1947. He died in Paris in 2003.

The poster is in good to very good folded condition with corner and edge pinholes and a small piece out at the lower right edge. There is a very small hole dead centre and another small hole in the lower horizontal fold.
