Seller's Description

Original U.S. 14 inch x 36 inch Insert Poster for the 1961 Nathan Juran Adventure FLIGHT OF THE LOST BALLOON starring Marshall Thompson, Mala Powers, James Lanphier, Douglas Kennedy and Robert Gillette.

A professor is hired to navigate across Africa in a hot-air balloon to rescue a lost explorer, but a mysterious local villain named "Hindu" commandeers the balloon for his own nefarious purposes.

Poster art by Jim Jonson (1928 - 1999). Jonson's first illustration assignments were for magazines and advertising agencies in California. He then moved to the East Coast and his work appeared regularly in Sports Illustrated, Ski, Time-Life Books, and other nationally famous publications. Album covers for Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and the Beatles, the "Ben-Hur" movie ad campaign, illustrations for Sports Illustrated, Look and The Saturday Evening Post were only part of his lifetime work.

The poster is in very good folded condition.
