2 Original 1962 British Compton-Cameo release 10 inch x 8 inch Black and White Stills for the 1959 Kon Ichikawa Wartime Drama FIRES ON THE PLAIN, based on the novel by Shohei Ooka and starring Eiji Funakoshi, Mantarô Ushio, Yoshihiro Hamaguchi and Asao Sano.
In the closing days of WWII remnants of the Japanese army in Leyte are abandoned by their command and face certain starvation.
The stills are in very good condition each with a synopsis tacked to the reverse.
