Original British Gala Film Distributors 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1969 Claude Chabrol Thriller LA FEMME INFIDELE (THE UNFAITHFUL WIFE) starring Stephane Audran, Michel Bouquet, Michel Duchanussoy, Maurice Ronet, Louise Chevalier, Louise Rioton, Serge Bento and Henri Marteau.
Charles Desvallées believes that his wife is cheating on him and hires a private detective in order to prove himself right. Once he knows the lover is writer Victor Pégala, he drives to his apartment, calmly presents himself as the husband, starts a conversation and then kills him cold-bloodedly. The police trace the wife but when she discovers by accident a picture that could incriminate her husband she decides to remain silent.
The poster is in good to very good unfolded (rolled) condition. The English title has been overprinted over the original French title. There is a small ‘AA’ sticker over the original ‘A’ certificate.
