Original British 10 inch x 8 inch Front-of-House Still (Lobby Card) of EDMUND GWENN, ESMOND KNIGHT & JAMES FINLAYSON in the 1934 Monty Banks Thriller FATHER AND SON, based on a story by Ben Ames Williams.
The film is set in a village where a bank clerk (Knight) is disconcerted when his father (Gwenn) comes back from fourteen years in prison. The old man rescues a boy from drowning and takes a strong drink, only to be accused of drunkenness by his son before he can explain. Repentant on learning the truth, the son takes the blame for a theft he thinks his father has committed, but the real culprit is eventually found.
The still is in very good condition.
