Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1975 Dick Richards Thriller FAREWELL MY LOVELY, based on the novel by Raymond Chandler and starring Robert Mitchum, Charlotte Rampling, John Ireland, Sylvia Miles, Anthony Zerbe, Harry Dean Stanton, Jack O’Halloran, Sylvestor Stallone, Kate Murtagh and John O’Leary.

They just caught Mitchum, aged 58, in time to play Philip Marlowe in this taut and atmospheric remake of Chandler’s thriller. Marlowe is hired by paroled convict Moose Malloy to find his girlfriend Velma, former seedy nightclub dancer, whilst also investigating the murder of a client and the theft of a jade necklace.

Poster art by David McMacken. McMacken was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest of America, a graduate of the Art Centre College of Design in Los Angeles. He is an illustrator, painter, and graphic designer, who resides in Astoria, Oregon, where he runs his studio and gallery Ratz and Company. He has painted record album covers for a wide range of artists, including Frank Zappa, Cat Stevens, The Beach Boys and many more. He has also illustrated a multitude of movie posters and other visual works, both commercial and non-commercial.

The poster is in very good folded condition with minor edge creasing.
