Seller's Description

ORIGINAL HORROR / SCI-FI / FANTASY MOVIE                          MEMORABILIA

The best site for rare, authentic horror movie memorabilia, including Universal, Hammer Horror, Amicus etc. original UK Quads, pressbooks, Front of House cards, autographs and more.

               Original Vintage Pressbooks

All items offered are genuine release (usually 1st), old, cinema movie items and so had a 'life' before sale, so unlikely ever to be mint.

This itemA very rare original vintage UK press book for this controversial movie where criticisms ranged from the poetic to stomach-churning as evidenced by the photo that shows just a few of the critics' responses (the page has many more).  Many were offended by the 'face-lifting scene' (seven people apparently fainted at a showing in Edinburgh) while others were impressed by the poetic beauty of the movie and its masked heroine. The pressbook comprises 8 pages of articles, story, cast - crew listings, illustrated ads, promo ideas and photos. The movie (Les Yeux Sans Visage in its original French title) was also released as The Horror Chamber  of Dr. Faustus. Owing to its very limited release UK paper on this title is rare. At the time of listing no internet site nor UK dealer had this on offer.  Very Scarce / Rare
