Seller's Description

Original British 12 inch x 14 inch 16 page illustrated pressbook for the 1947 Ian Dalrymple Drama ESTHER WATERS, based on the novel by George Moore and starring Kathleen Ryan, Dirk Bogarde, Cyril Cusack, Ivor Barnard, Fay Compton, Morland Graham, Mary Clare and Shelagh Fraser.

Cocky liveryman William Latch (Dirk) seduces Esther Waters (Kathleen Ryan) but eventually tries to make amends. Dirk’s brother Gareth plays the young boy. This was one of three films including Once a Jolly Swagman and Quartet that Dirk made with Ian Dalrymple at the director’s own Essex Films for Rank.

The pressbook is in very good condition with a very soft vertical fold.
